Tessa Neukirch | Architectural Associate
Tessa joined our team in 2023 after working as an intern for several years in the historic preservation and adaptive reuse field in upstate New York. She is currently pursuing licensure and has been working with senior staff on a diverse array of projects including preservation planning and development of measured drawings and construction documents.
She obtained her Bachelor of Architecture from California Polytechnic State University - San Luis Obispo in 2023, where her design work focused on sustainable environments culminating in a thesis on the adaptive reuse of Buffalo’s abandoned grain silo complex. During her penultimate year, she studied computational design theory in urban planning and co-housing abroad in Germany.
Tessa prefers that historic buildings are not only respected and preserved, but also positively contribute to their communities. A downtown dweller, when she is not at work, Tessa can be found planning her next trip, reading, trying new recipes, and eating what turns out well.
