Christopher Brandt | Project Architect
Christopher was the inaugural Bero-Howk Intern in 2010 and became an employee in 2013. He has broad expertise in multiple facets of historic preservation practice including design and construction administration, building evaluation, research, and advocacy.
Christopher enjoys the challenge of analyzing and adapting the design language and construction techniques of the past to create new interventions and additions that feel part of an architectural continuum rooted in our local cultural heritage.
He received a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University at Buffalo SUNY in 2011, a Master of Architecture and Certificate in Historic Preservation from the University of Virginia in 2013, and obtained his architectural licensure in 2018. He is a member of the Young Urban Preservationists; a Trustee and member of several committees of The Landmark Society of Western New York; and serves as the chair of the Town of Irondequoit Historic Preservation Commission.
Chris lives in Irondequoit with his wife and their two dogs. When not researching local history, he enjoys gardening, restoring his 1920s time-capsule house, and birding.
