FIRM RÉSUMÉ Firm Profile Bero Architecture PLLC is a full-service architecture firm with expertise in the treatment of existing buildings. Founded in 1976 , the firm has developed a local, state, and regional reputation for excellence in master planning, building evaluations, adaptive re-use, compatible additions, restoration, and preservation planning. The firm provides professional services for new construction, rehabilitation, and preservation projects for residential, commercial, industrial, institutional, and municipal clients. Bero Architecture PLLC prepares code studies, condition reports, historic structure reports, feasibility studies, preservation reports, National Register submissions, and historic resource surveys. Building Rehabilitation, Renovations, and Compatible Additions We believe it is important to understand a building’s historical context and physical evolution before undertaking major rehabilitation work. The firm has extensive experience documenting and analyzing existing buildings, including many that are National Register-listed and/or designated local landmarks. We are well versed in the federal, state and local codes regulating general architectural design and historic preservation projects. One of our architects has Code Enforcement Certification from the State of New York. Our experience includes numerous rehabilitation and restoration projects subject to review by the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation. Since passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act in 1990, our firm has provided many studies, cost estimates, designs, and construction documents to help owners comply with the requirements of the Act.
